Note for non-North-American women:
I tried to take off the "No Foreign emails" language in this profile and once I did, an avalanche of emails began appearing from China, Russia and all sorts of other countries. Nothing personal, but I do not now or *ever* want to take up a long-distance relationship with non-North-American women... If you are not American or Canadian, then save yourself the trouble of me blocking your email with no reply.
I especially, and with extreme prejudice, will delete any wink, viewed me and mail from anyone from China or it's satellite countries. Period.
What is even more disturbing is that I have geographic filters in place and these emails still come in, indicating that these women are taking note of the filters and ignoring my (and many other men's) wishes anyway. Is that any basis for a relationship when someone's boundaries are ignored and poor manners displayed by initiating an undesired contact? Love is based on some notion of civility and manners you know. I sincerely wish you the best in your search but this American man is off the foreign market.

I'm a cleaner. Recently quit the technology business. Now, I hunt down vermin and exterminate the little annoying creatures. The pay is good but I do have my other job of gardening (growing carnivorous plants ) and also the third job of inspecting ravioli production at Boomtown in Reno. It's a truly inspiring life, growing things, chasing down vermin and then eating Italian food all day ;>)
The sad part is that I have to track international vermin down. Thank goodness I have Kill Bill to inspire me as I do my work. Now if I could only get the same brand of sword as Uma used so effectively against the Crazy 88...

Research and Development information scientist- I am 30 years into my work and have reached a point where I am very happy and have great projects coming in and I am quite happy. Work is needed by humans, and fulfilling work is even better, but I have noted that I tend to go too far with work at times... Balance is difficult at times, but I am getting better at noticing when I've gone too far and I am learning to take more time away from all of it and going back to the outdoors.
What I love about the work? Challenge and knowing that I have the trust of important people who believe in me. In turn, I believe in them, and this is fulfilling and makes me happy.
I am moving on though - I've taken up writing and am moving forward to an alternate career down the road about ten years out and am doing my training now to be a good writer of novels. I'm looking forward to the future as a result!

Of course, she has to be American. As I mentioned earlier, I've given up technology and opted to become a minister of cleansing. The job involves removing vermin and helping poor innocents to see the power in themselves. That and my ravioli inspection job and carnivorous plant growing provide me with the sense of balance and gratitude that make life so meaningful. - LOL
