I'm really not even looking for anyone at this time. I've met the most incredible woman right here in my home town...and didn't even meet online. I'll just be here reading the forums now.
Actually I am 5' 7" and not 5' 8"...they don't have a listing for 5' 7", go figure. Professional musician/entertainer for 30 years. Worked for the same entertainment complex for 29 years until the owners retired. I am still in the same profession but at a different complex. I also do audio/video production. Mostly video now although I do have a 24 track recording studio in my home. Own my own home, drew up my own house plans and I built it myself. I do have a bass boat and like to go fishing occasionally, or even just go to the lake for a boat ride. I am financially and emotionally stable and expect anyone I would be involved with to be also. Financially stable doesn't mean you are rich but you do have enough common sense to know how to manage your money and pay your bills on time. Emotionally stable means you do not need a handful of Prozac to get through the day.
I am a pretty laid back person, Haven't been in a bar in probably 6 years. When I did used to go to a bar once in a while it was to listen to a live band, not to drink and get crazy...actually don't even like the taste of alcohol. That's not to say I don't like to go out to dinner or go to a party a friend is having every once in a while. Not really a couch potato, just don't care for going out alone so I'm usually home working (or playing) in my studio.
I used to smoke, but I quit July 9th, 2007 with the help of the new drug Chantix. I have really been amazed at how well this stuff works. The Harley motorcycle in one of my photos is a present to myself for quitting smoking. Just bought it July 26th, 2007...and I absolutely love it...such a fun ride. |

As I stated I have been a musician/entertainer for 30 years. It hasn't made me rich but it has fed and clothed me and has given me enough spending money to enjoy life somewhat. I like the fact that I go to work at 6:30 pm and I'm home by 10:30 pm.
The only thing I dislike about my job is the fact that I'm working when most other people are out having a nice dinner or seeing a movie. But I've been doing it for so long now that I really don't even think that much about it. The up side to that is...while most other people are working 9 to 5 I have my days free. |

| my idea of a great date: |
A first meeting should be something casual so neither of us feel pressured or obligated. If we click, we can then turn it into a date or make plans for one. If we agree on a "date", this is an idea just off the top of my head:
We would meet somewhere for dinner at the restaurant of your choice (unless it's $150 a plate...in that case I can't afford you ((*wink*)) ). We would visit with each other over dinner and see what kind of things we have in common. After several minutes we find ourselves glancing into each other's eyes, sensing a definite connection. The more we talk the more comfortable we both feel. We laugh about things in our lives and we also discuss more serious things such as what we want out of a relationship and what we think makes a good relationship. After dinner we might go see a movie (which is something I haven't done in years). I take you back to your car after the movie (I am assuming we met at the restaurant) or I take you home if I picked you up. Either way I walk you to the door, tell you what a wonderful time I had, give you my phone number and kiss you goodnight. You go inside, put on some sweats and get comfortable, and sit down on the sofa staring at the number I gave you. The more you think about how much you enjoyed the evening the more you want to call me. When I get home I find two messages on my machine, the first telling me you had a really good time tonight...and the second one telling me your phone number and asking me to call you as soon as I get home. I call you and we talk until 4:30 in the morning.
Now...the thing said to describe your idea of a great date so there you have it. The not so great date would consist of us meeting for dinner and one or both of us not having the attraction. If that be the case then we would be honest about it, shake hands and say thanks for dinner. |

| Someone who is not pretentious...who says what they mean and means what they say. Honest, loyal, compassionate, passionate but not hot tempered. Someone who loves intimacy (with the right person and not someone you picked up in a bar). I suppose they should have a generic button on this that fills in this stuff since I think most people say pretty much the same thing in this area. I live within 15 minutes of both Beaver and Table Rock lakes so if you like to fish or just go out boating that would be a plus. I am not a hunter (of animals) but I do like to hunt morel mushrooms in the spring. |
