I'm a reader, writer, observer of the human comedy, wise-cracker, curmudgeon, devil's advocate, rebel rouser, inciter of anti-dogma and prone to political incorrectness....... I am prone to many moods, positive and negative, but attempt to see life with a mix of jaded irony and humorous juxtaposition.
I am an intelligent, creative and talkative man seeking the same in a woman. I am not interested in spuratic dating combined with guessing games and having little in common interests for what ends up being a series of pointless get-togethers with not much to do or say.
My moods range from silly to contemplative to intense passion to analitical. I have my moments when I'm not talkative, but that's usually when I don't have anything useful to say. Sometimes it is better to say nothing when saying the wrong thing seems all too likely.
I have a lot of interests, from activity based to conversational. Music, art, writing, TV, theatre, movies, board/card games, cooking, history, science, and politics are among them.

My goal on this site is to find a woman with some similar interests with her own life and creative outlets to share. I am interested in a long term relationship that eventually leads to the trust, communication and commitment that lifelong companionship becomes.
When I was married, I had two step-sons (8 and 17) I adored. As I have no children of my own and like the positive effect I can have on kids, so a potential match for me does not disclude her from having her own.
