Just here for the blogs and friendship, folks.
Those closest to me would say that I am intelligent, communicative, witty, and generous to a fault. I'm a music lover with somewhat eclectic tastes (from old blues to Bjork). I also enjoy books, films, travel, warm weather, the ocean and the mountains. I can be sweet, sarcastic, friendly, dark, sincere, tender, willful, compassionate, opinionated, loyal, grounded, dreamy, quick to laugh and quick to cry - all depending on the situation at hand. (And no, this does not translate to mean "unstable"; rather just a thinking, feeling human with at least a bit more depth than a Tic Tac.)
I am nothing if not an idealist, which of course makes me disappointed in the world (and myself) at times. I am also sensitive and analytical, and have been known to mock and even rant over certain things, but also believe in striving to be less judgmental. I believe that not all seriousness is necessarily negative; in the same way that not all those who appear to be happy, are actually so. I'm a bit of an anglophile. I believe that life is supposed to be messy. I believe that very tiny people break into my house and steal all of my good pens. (OK, perhaps not.) What piques my interest? My children, friends, love, unusual people, the sky, passion, good coffee, respect, a good story, writers, imperfection, originality, underdogs, dreamers, sociology, religious history, irony, deliberately getting lost on back roads, and those long conversations that flow from cosmic to personal to silly and back again.
