I am intelligent, honest, down to earth, humorous, educated, employed, independent, supportive, not clingy --- I'm very eclectic. My parents raised me with the Opera and the classics, but my rebel side pushed me out of their life for a time, where my foster dad taught me the value of a hard days work, a sawdust floor and juke box, a charcoal barbeque, and watching a thunderstorm come across the mountain. I'm well educated, but unpretentious. While I work in the board room, I relate better to the men and women in the plants and enjoy an occasional smoke and Coke with the guys on break more than sharing a glass of wine with the VP's. My job has me traveling frequently, so when I am back in NC, I want to spend quiet time with someone. Going to the store, a museum, watching a ball game (at the stadium - not TV if at all possible), or taking a drive and listening to some music sound like great things. I'm not much into the traditional dance/club bar scene, but if you know of a place where the conversation is louder than the stereo, let me know. When I'm not working, I'm a bit of a cut-up. Funny stories and laughter make the best memories. (well almost).

What I'm looking for is laughter, fun, intellectual challenges, emotional stability without being stoic, passionate without being chaotic, someone to tell my secrets to, someone to shower with unexpected pleasures who can do the same, someone who can pick the wine if I pick the entree, someone who can help me experience new things without overloading my senses, someone who will try my kitchen creations and be kind enough not to laugh, but have the courage to tell me we need to go out and eat.
Of course, they have to be able to walk right on the edge of sanity sometimes, to keep up.
I guess I want the perfect girl. Sincere, understanding, willing to be the rebel when I'm not, and willing to be the voice of reason when I have none. Someone who can just neck on the couch one minute when I'm vunerable, and who can insist on monkey bars in the bedroom when I'm not.
