Single father of two. Just looking for someone to help me create our own little Mayberry. I am a fantastic cook, my grandmother (who raised me from infancy) taught me how to cook in that good old-fashioned, stick to your ribs kind of way. I love meatloaf, bbq, homemade (beef or chicken) noodles, and steak. Old fashioned in many respects, very modern in others...for instance, I hold the door open for ladies/elderly and say things like "ma'am/sir/please/thank you" without being disingenuous, but I like to share the household responsibilities and desire a dual income family. Im a HUGE MOVIE BUFF!!! I have something along the line of 600 DVDs. Narrowing down a favorite movie is not something I can easily do.

I also love to dance, and know how to do several ballroom style dances, as well as many country line dances. Of course, the obligatory "bump and grind" applies as well... :)
I enjoy reading John Grisham, JK Rowlings, Dean Koontz, Sylvia Brown, Dan Brown, John Steinbeck and many other authors. I am very eclectic in my music tastes, I truly listen to everything...but I listen to country and New Wave 80's more often. .
Getting my socks wet is a major pet peeve. I sometimes put french dressing on my tacos. Sometime over the last two years I have apparently started lightly snoring. I've started to grey prematurely, but I pluck every grey hair I find. Im on the quieter side in person, but I will talk your ear off on the phone for some odd reason. I LOVE TO SHOP. I dont mind DOING the laundry...but the folding and putting away gets me everytime. :) I used to be a cop. Im a hopeless romantic at heart. From the bottom of my heart: GO CUBBIES!! Dont like football, but Im kinda into Nascar...in general though, watching sports on TV puts me to sleep everytime. I've got an extremely LARGE family...and family is very important to me.

I am a "MAN OF THE MILLENIUM" and do not NEED a woman to help me raise my kids...but it sure would be nice to have someone at my side sharing the joys of that with me!
My son is 7, my daughter is 5. Both of my children are gifts from God, but my son especially...whom I adopted, and he has medical issues. God brought him into my life for a reason, and I don't question His judgement. My daughter is my mini-me, so I have already figured out her job is to teach me much in the art of patience!
Both kids are in baseball. I love going to their games and rooting them on; it gets kind of hectic at times, especially when both are playing on different fields at the same time. I get A LOT of excercise on those days running back and forth lol! |
