I am an atheist in East Texas, so the chances of me bumping in to another atheist is not very high. Right now, I am not looking for a long term relationship. I would like to chat with others, in this area or not, who share my interests. I would rather be outdoors walking in the woods than in the house watching television. When I am indoors I enjoy reading, mostly science and nature. Although, a good James Patterson novel seems to do the trick at times.
I like spending time with people I can learn from and people who are willing to learn from me as well. Life should be not only lived but enjoyed. So, I try to find something to do every day that will make me laugh. (not the falling out of your chair laugh, I only try for that once or twice a week.)

| My son is the most important thing in my life. Right now I am trying to further my education which puts my son and I both going to school, limiting our quality time. We make the best out of every moment. (except of course the 10 minutes after bedtime when suddenly thirst and hunger are too much to bear. I am not someone completely comfortable telling strangers all about my child, so we'll leave it at that. |

| My idea of a great date is a day at the Natural Science Musuem and good food. If the musuem isn't practical due to the distance, then, maybe a hike or put put golf (no matter how corney) but the good food remains the same. I only go to the movies every few years, so a movie wouldn't be "bad date". I'm not that picky about the activity as long as the person I am with is respectful, with a little decency. |

| I'd like to meet someone who does not base their knowledge on stories handed down but on evidence and thought. Someone open minded and kind is important. Any form of hatred is not acceptable. I like people who can be funny and spontaneous. I am not very spontaneous myself, but I enjoy it when it is brought out in me. |
