I am a happy, cheerful, always smiling Grandmother of 8 grandchildren-3 girls and 5 boys. I have two biological sons ages 41 and 35 plus one adopted son (22) and daughter (23). All are married with families of their own. I have no baggage to ladden my ability to go when time or opportunity comes my way. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy a fun time. Don't like to argue or fuss. Not a jealous bone in my body and would appreciate the same respect in that area. In my work it is not unusual to be in a restaurant or even shopping or on a short trip and run into someone who knows or recognizes me. Being the cordial person that I am, there could be a minute or two of chat or perhaps a hug, so you would have to have patience at times like these. I am a very laidback kind of country girl who enjoys country living. Very family oriented and would definitely welcome yours too. I am a very open person - more of a giver than a taker. I welcome new activities and challenges. I am preparing for my retirement in a couple of years. Plan to open a small home accessory outlet and tailor-make the majority of the items myself. Sewing is a form of relaxation for me.
I currently work 40/wk, but have weekends for me. I enjoy short trips to the mountains or the beach if the weather is right. Not a sun worshiper, but love to walk barefoot in the sand under the moon and stars with the mist of the ocean brushing my cheek. I like browsing through flea mkts and those little side of the road thrifty stores for items that would enhance any decor whether old or modern. Who knows-might even find a priceless treasure! | No two days are ever exactly the same. My job is interesting and never boring or I would not have stayed in the same work environment for 30 + years. I work for a local municipality and am the supervisor of the Revenue Dept. My primary goal is to ensure sufficient funds are available each year for the city to operate and grow in strength and services. I administer and oversee the fiscal budget as well as numerous Federal, State and local entity grants for various projects. It gets a little stressful during an election year, but since I do not reside in the city, but rather in a neighboring county, I do not have to worry about making 'brownie points' with anyone. That has been a plus for me and is probably the reason I have stayed with it for all these years-not to mention the retirement and other benefits provided! I guess I could truthfully say that "I love my job" and really mean it! |

| The first date could be as simple as meeting for coffee or lunch to have that first impression. If all goes well, the second could be dinner and a movie or strolling along the beach or just walk the corridors of a local mall and window shop while chatting and get the learning experience underway.
