10-23-09 - I'm looking for a person interested in talking, exploring, discovering, learning more about life, the world, the universe. Seeking a friend looking for a friend, not sex. I'm really looking for someone local to Texas but I'd like to get to know anyone who truly wants a relationship and not just an occasional chat to fill boring hours.
There does not seem to be hardly anyone interested in mere friendship on this website that finds my profile interesting. I have turned off email notifications and won't be around much. About me: I am unique. My years on this earth was once a convoluted tangle of work and crusading. I've been Don Quixote, slamming windmills with an invisible sword. When I wasn't in battle I was often trying out some new and different job, from cashiering or maintenance type jobs to radio announcing, truck driving or being a caseworker. That era came to an end when I figured out my efforts were futile. Since then I've simply lived life and loved my kids and family.
I look up and ask why. I look inward and ask who. I care for others and miss good conversations and mutual discovery. I do not believe there are limits to caring, friends or sharing joy.

My kids are my reason for breathing. I adore them, probably too much. I have two young kids, boy 9, girl 8, who are enrolled in a distance learning school called Texas Virtual Academy. It is an excellent school! I am their learning coach, as the school calls parents. They are doing very well.
My oldest attends the local brick and mortar school. She's 16 and has a mind of her own. (don't they all?)
Our kids are foster/adopt. We've had them for over six years, adopted for over four. I could not be more proud of them! |
