My friends describe me as an old fashion romantic: a modern day knight errant in dented and tarnished armor, somewhat battered and bruised, but unbowed by lifes challenges. I wish to find that special someone to be at my side as I seek out windmills do to battle with...or to pick me up if I fall off my Rent-a-Steed (good white Chargers are so hard to find these days). I enjoy quiet candlelit dinners and loud family picnics, moonlit walks on the beach and carefree strolls through the woods, the fresh smell after a summer rain and the good clean smell of fresh cut grass, Country-Western music, Rhythem & Blues and classic Rock & Roll, watching others Kareoke, playing with classic cars, sending flowers just because it's the first Tuesday of the week, the sparkle in a childs eye when they discover something new, the trust of a good friend, and the love of a good woman. I've spent the past 30 years sailing the seven seas, fighting our countries battles on foreign shores and at sea, I've recently retired and returned home to America. I would rather walk on the lighter side of life but am by nature responsible. My faith in God, Country, family and my fellow man remains strong. I was brought up in the great tradition of the late nineteenth century: that a man never complains, never explains and never disdains. My life as been ruled by a simple code of honor: I will not be insulted, I will not be lied to and I will not be laid a hand on; I do not do these things to others and I require the same from them.
