I feel as though I am swimming through a vanilla sea. The sheer monotony of it all is almost as undesirable as the many that sink below the surface, never truly searching and in turn never finding the fulfillment they so desperately desire. With every stroke we become exhausted all the greater and it is only through this fatigue that we lose sight of the destination and settle for this vanilla world we swim in, in all it's social acceptedness and morale. Forever lost are our own ambitions, our own truth, and with that, our own satisfaction.

I figured I'd start out with one of my writings. It would be easier for me to describe what I am NOT looking for in a significant other. I'm not looking for an alpha male, violent, I'm always right about everything, bow down before me woman, type of man. Been there, done that. I'd like to meet someone with a sense of humor. Mine tends to be a bit dry and sarcastic at times, though most consider me a very sweet young lady. I'm pretty shy at first in person, but I warm up quickly. I would also consider myself pretty submissive, and a bit passive in demeanor.
I can appreciate art in many forms and would like to meet someone who is intelligent and grounded. I'm not looking for a party animal, though at times, a night out at the bar or hanging around a campfire with friends is fun.
I have one child, she is 8, and I have her full time. I don't expect the man I meet will be meeting her any time soon, as I don't involve my child in my personal affairs unless the relationship becomes pretty serious. I also don't date outside my own race and I prefer men at least in their 30's...if not older. |
