I'm 48, kids are grown and on their own. I enjoy camping, fishing, the mountains, hot springs or the hot tub, pets (I have 2 dogs), friends, family...... I'm spontaneous, fun loving, attentive, and dependable. I enjoy classic cars, quiet evenings around the fire, playing guitar & singing along or just listening to music (jazz, blues, classic rock mostly, but I'm a musician so I like almost any good music), cooking, gardening, and creating things on my own. I've been single long enough to find my way around the kitchen and make some tasty meals. I take time to enjoy my interests, visit my kids, and enjoy life. I like to shoot pool as often as possible...... I'm taking lessons to learn some finer points of the game, I throw darts, play cribbage, hearts, spades, etc.... I don't like games of the heart, and don't play them.
I'm retired now, back injury. I was sitting in the hot springs one day, and was asked what I GAINED as a result of being injured and not being employable for so long (since 1994). After thinking a bit, I realised very few men get to be such an intregal part of their children's upbringing. I got to be there every day for them, take them to school, pick them up, be there whenever they needed me, wipe the tears when they'd had a bad day, celebrate with them when they'd had a great day. We are all close, and my daughter usually calls 4-5 times a week just to chat and tell me about her day,

| Two wonderful kids, one boy, one girl. Both grown and on their own, daughter is married and has one daughter, my newest pride and joy. They're in the Phoenix area, so I visit there as often as possible. Stayed a month with her at the end of her pregnancy just to help her out, and came back for a couple weeks til she got the hang of things. I'm retired on a back injury. For 15 yrs., I was an appliance repairman. Have also been electrician, mechanic, and general jack of all trades. My back doesn't stop me, just slows me down, I still do alot, just take my time, ya know? So I grow blackberries, and a small garden, shoot pool and play cribbage with my friends; I like the classic cars of the 60's and 70's.
I guess the hardest I work is when I have time to practice pool. I may play several hours before a break. |

Dinner and a movie is so traditional, any opportunity to really 'see' someone and experience the sound of her voice and her laughter, the glint in her eyes, the expressions on her face. Lunch and a couple hours of shooting pool would be a blast too!
There are some beautiful places around here for a scenic drive with a stop in the pines for a picnic lunch. A relaxed day to have time to talk, laugh, and learn about each other in a quiet, natural setting. |

I'm looking for someone who likes to get out and see what nature has to offer, or stay in and enjoy the solitude of a quiet evening. My whole life I've waited for the one I'd grow old with, the one who would share the ups and downs of life with. I'm still looking for her, knowing she'll come along when the time is right for us.
She must have a good sense of humor and appreciate spontaneity, I used to load up the truck and go camping, or take a trip, on a moments notice if there was available time to go.
I give, and expect, complete honesty from a partner, after all, if we're a team we have to be a united front against anything that would jeopardize our happiness, safety or welfare.
She has to be accepting of my back condition, of course. I've learned to pace myself most of the time.......... part of life's dance. But it's still there, just the same.
