I'm a hard-working professional and proud mother to my 14 yr. old son - we’re going through some typical teen rebellion. I just want him to get a haircut! He’s an honors student, so I’m trying to let the hair issue slide. In my free time (what there is of it, between work, commuting and motherhood), I like to read, cook, watch a good movie and listen to classic rock and go to concerts at the zoo in the summer. I enjoy evenings out with dinner and dancing, but I'm just as happy with a quiet dinner in or watching a movie at home. We still have a drive-in theatre, and I love sitting in lawn chairs watching movies in the summer.
I'd very much like to find someone who is willing to take the time and make the effort in nurturing a relationship. I'm not high-maintenance by any means, but I do like to feel as though I am important to my partner. I have a very fulfilling life, so I'm not looking for someone else to do that for me. Looks aren't critical, but they do play a role in overall chemistry. I really enjoy the company of men who have a good sense of humor. Mine tends to run on the dry, witty side and it's not uncommon for me to throw out a zinger of a one-liner now and again. I like intelligent conversation and someone who doesn't mind laughing at himself once in awhile. Wrap that with some basic courtesy and good communication and I'm a happy camper.

| I have one son who's a Freshman in High School. He's very special to me, even though he's one surly teenager right now! He's never had less than an A on his report card, plays saxaphone in the school band, is on the tennis team and the academic team. I'm depending on his intellgence to get him a college scholarship. His dad lives in aother state and we never hear from him, thank goodness. My dad and three brothers give my son the male influence that he needs in his life. He'll be out of the house in a few short years, and I don't want to be alone when he leaves. |

| I work in Purchasing for a defense contractor. It's very fast-paced and challenging on a daily basis. I love being busy, but wouldn't mind it slowing down once in a while. My job is very important to me, and I do work overtime (uncompensated) several hours per week. I commute 40 miles each way, and don't enjoy that much. I wouldn't consider moving closer until my son is in college, though. Luckily, I've discovered audio books to make the drive more bearable. |

| I am a bit of a romantic. A long walk under the starry skies, breezes softly whispering against our skin as we begin our journey of getting to know each other. Feeling comfortable in each others company and from the beginning being open and honest with each other about expectations. Enjoying a quiet, candle light dinner with soft tones filling the atmosphere. Okay, so maybe I'm just daydreaming .lol. Actually, meeting someone and clicking right off, not having that dreaded silence and wondering "What should I say?" Or worrying about if you might offend the person you are with. Feeling comfortable to be yourself, and not be judged for it. An almost instantaneous attraction that draws two souls closer together. No pretending, just REAL. Doesn't matter what we are doing, movie, dinner, ect . Just matters that we are both ENJOYING ourselves and each others company. And, of course, the inability to get the thought of the other person out of your head all night, even after the evening has ended. |

| I would like to find someone who can be creative and sensitive when the occasion calls for it, also kind-hearted, smart and witty. A man who is stable in his life and knows what he wants and where he would like to be. Someone not afraid to go for what they want and knows how to be their own person. An honest, hard-working person, capable of carrying on a half-way intellectual, yet interesting, conversation who knows how to be serious when need be, but also how to enjoy what life brings. I'm really not into playing games. I would like to find somebody who can be themselves and let me be myself. Perhaps somebody that I might inspire and that might add inspiration to my life. I don't think I really ask a lot,just for a best friend/companion that will accept me for who I am and be there when I need someone, as I would be for them. |
