I'm a bit extreme about a lot of my likes and dislikes. My work ties me to southern Vancouver Island, where the small population makes it hard to find a rare kind of person for a lover. Where do the odd and unusual people live, the individualists?
Reading most of what I have to say about myself, I'd think I was too serious for most people. Actually I have a tendency to want to have too much fun. Love socializing, staying up way too late. I don't like good things to end!
I'm an atheist, have strong ethics and care deeply about the world; I have high intelligence, but no great achievements other than survival; I don't watch tv, don't care about movies, and don't even read much fiction, just non-fiction. My politics are left-leaning. Preservation of what's left of the wilderness and built heritage matters to me. Health is important to me, and I believe 80 percent of it is our personal responsibility.
I am a very social being. Apparently I am much more sexual than most, more affectionate than most, and I'm looking for a man with those same qualities. I want relationships that are completely honest, that deepen and expand over time, rather than subsiding to something less than passion. I've been on my own five years -- interesting, but definitely not my preferred lifestyle.
Here's one more thing gives an idea of what kind of person I am...I LOVE road trips without destinations, and I can't imagine wanting to do one of those luxury cruises. |

| I am self-employed as a research agent, working in libraries and archives. I always enjoyed researching whatever sparks my curiosity, and finally found I could give up having to deal with petty politics of the workplace, and just work on my own. I'd like to be around a man with an aura of strength and gentleness, someone who loves touch. I want to meet people who are highly tolerant of oddities and weaknesses in others, and who appreciate what is good in everyone. I'm happiest around people who also love many things about this world. Having some close friends and lovers who are vegetarian would be wonderful, but it's essential that a person be comfortable with my vegetarianism, and like animals. (especially my cat!)
I would prefer partners who have let go of blame and anger and are able to accept imperfections, their own and mine, and those of others.
Vitality and health are a turn-on, as is serenity. A man who is working to improve his health and fitness would be a good match.
If you wouldn't even notice if the TV was broken, if you've often thought it's a ripoff to own a human mind but have only 80+ years to use it in, if you wake up often with thoughts and ideas you want to share, if your friends say you're unique, we really ought to check each other out. |
