I have just spent 6 months camping in the Black Rock desert of NW Nevada as site steward for a remote, protected hot springs. Shopping (Reno) was a 340 mile, once a month trip. I don't care much for towns. My reading interests include: paleoanthropology, geology, physics, adventure travel, biography, forensics, Zen, history, and war. I lived off-grid for 12 years, all remote except the tree house in Hawaii. Worked 18 years with criminal and crazy teens, the streets and institutions. Have been a wilderness guide, cook, bus driver, sea kayak, leadership, and survival instructer & then some. Some of my heros and heroines include: Lewis B "Chesty" Puller, Madam Curie, "Terrible" Terry Allan, Beryl Markham, "Pancho Barnes, and Richard Feynman. I got hurt at work in '99, and as a result I use a walking staff and have big pain and small income. I work every day at having a rich life. I have big heart and big heat.
I don't let my dreams die. I haven't watched TV in 20 years. |
