My parents taught me to respect everyone until such time as those who I give respect to stop deserving it. There are quite a few people over the years that have lost my respect for because they had their own agendas. It is perfectly fine to have your own goals and desires as I have mine but if sharing totally and fully with the person you are seemingly interested in is difficult for you it is better to find that out now then to become familiar and then become disappointed in the relationship. Sharing means communicating your wants, needs and desires, not hiding them.
