I'm originally from SC but moved to TX to become a grad student at UNT, where I got my M.M. I currently lecture at a local university as well as freelance as a musician. Though I perform mainly jazz, I enjoy many other styles. So I'm not a purist - I'll play and listen to more than just jazz.
I love the outdoors and nature, like Nat'l parks. Two things I value highly are exercise and eating well - I try to take care of myself but am not opposed to the occasional burger!
I am searching for someone who knows herself (both strengths and weaknesses) well. She knows that she will never find the absolute perfect person with every ideal attribute until she accepts him for who he is - I will accept her for who she is. She loves learning. She is romantic and can help me learn how to be a better romantic (not the "fake" romance of so many). She takes care of herself but is not focused on conspicuous consumption. In addition, she can spell and knows correct grammar.
My strengths: I work toward a goal no matter how long it takes. I am honest; even if it means things just didn't work out, I'll let someone know the truth. I am decisive when I need to be but will always let others make decisions, too. I am open to (and will always consider hearing) other political viewpoints, though I tend to lean toward libertarianism. I know I don't have all of the answers - sometimes just being comfortable with life's questions is best. I am always striving to better myself by learning as much as I can (but this can also be a weakness).
My weaknesses: I'm a saver - not one to spend money unless I have to. I also tend to dive into researching certain subjects until I fully understand them, and this can consume a bit of time.
