And while my life doesn't totally revolve around motorcycles it is a big part! I love to ride, but have to admit to being a weather weenie about it. But I do love doing things outdoors, hiking, camping, canoeing...the list goes on. Not much for hanging out in bars, just not happy with people getting drunk, I guess. Nothing wrong with a drink or two, but I'd rather not have to schlep any passed out folks out of my way.
Not interested in getting involved with the little kids scene again...raised mine & don't want to repeat the process! Grandkids are great but I'm not looking to turn into a full time babysitter for mine or sombody else's.
My sense of humor is a bit off the wall & often I'm guilty of laughing at things that offend some folks....just have a very open minded attitude about things, I guess. That said, I'm kind of old fashioned about relationships...expect to be treated like an equal but want the doors opened for me & only want to get involved with one person at a time....and expect the same from my partner. I'm fairly self-confident, so being jealous isn't part of my make-up bag...have all the friends you want & don't get bent about mine....we'll do just fine that way. Better if we can merge our friends together too!
For the boring "other stuff"...love to read, watch movies at home, go out to eat, mess about with computers, love most animals...even snakes and mice, just not spiders! Not very interested in the majority of sports, but I do like to watch golf matches, football if I'm actually in the stadium...likewise with baseball, car races & most other sports....just find it intolerable on tv unless it has to do with motorcycles. Can't carry a tune in a bucket, but love music....except for rap & extreme heavy metal & bluegrass....altho I am developing an interest in different types of country music. | Really like my current job, get to socialize with lots of different folks, almost like being a bartender...without the liquor! If it paid better it would be perfect. Best part is a pretty flexible boss who goes out of her way to accomodate time off requests & it's less than a mile from home. Working for a living is important...but so is making time to enjoy life & I'd retire in a flash if given the opportunity. Just have to win that lottery one of these days! |

My favorite is a picnic in a nice park. Going horseback riding or canoeing is good too. If a guy can maintain some dignity while flipping critters off his paper plate..or falling out of the boat, tell a good joke, not get us lost while exploring & laugh at my sarcastic silliness, then he's got me half way there! Prefer meeting in a casual atmosphere maybe just coffee or lunch, with plenty of time to chat & see what we have in common...don't want to be squeezed into some tight schedule like an appointment in a calendar! If nothing clicks then be honest & just say so....my feelings won't be hurt. I believe in love at first sight, but you have to be ready to see what's under all the layers & willing to weigh the good with the bad...figure out what really matters. You have to make me laugh & be able to carry on a conversation with words of more than one syllable! Being rude to wait staff or anybody just doing their job is a major deal breaker! If your cell phone rings it's ok to answer it, but keep it under a minute...unless it's an emergency & it's NOT an emergency while you're driving! Unless you're the leader of a country or a doctor/vet...it can wait a minute!
I like to be wined & dined and love to dance, but prefer to keep it out of the bar scene. I'm happiest at Outback....but nothing wrong with Wendy's, Sonic, BK or KFC either! |

Looks matter, but only to the extent that it shows you care enough about yourself to work with what you've got! Being up-front & honest is very attractive & so is open-mindedness. Obviously, since I'm a little off the wall myself, a sense of humor is very important. It helps if you know how to dress yourself, but I'm much happier in casual clothes, so jeans & a t-shirt is ok by me. But they should be clean!
I can't stand a liar & not very fond of surprises either...they have a tendency to back-fire...even the nice ones have a way of not turning out the way you'd hoped.
If you're insecure/jealous...just forget it all together! It's ok to be curious about what makes each other tick, but outright invasion of privacy is just wrong. I'm gonna ask questions & expect to answer them in return....I expect by now we've all done some things we maybe aren't proud of or wish we hadn't...but that's part of life & makes us who we are. Secrets seem to always get discovered at the worst possible times.
Being a great kisser is a plus, and public displays of affection are ok...as long as it's not over the top. Just don't want to be rushed into anything physical until there is an emotional bond....could be a few days or a few months, just depends on how things work themselves out! Casual sex doesn't get it for me....and it's too risky these days!
My health is good...seldom get sick, just the usual getting older little aches & pains occasionally..so I'm not looking to play nursemaid to somebody with a list of ailments a mile long & can't work up a lot of sympathy for somebody with a minor cold turning it into a drama. Just suck it up....but don't ignore the serious things either.
Common sense is important. Impulsiveness has it's place, but only if you've thought about the possible "ripple effect" before you get crazy! A little crazy is fun, a lot crazy is just crazy! |
