I have many friends here at MD and many that I have met in real life. They are so wonderful. I'm still looking for the right man though. Not sure if he's in Texas or somewhere else in the US. But one of these days I hope to find him or hope he finds me.
I am slightly handicapped with severe arthritis. Mainly I get frustrated at the things I can no longer do. So it would be nice to have a partner here to help me sometimes. But I am fiercely independent. I am NOT looking for someone to take care of me but rather someone to share life with, ups and downs both.
I've been a teaching for 31 years, either first or second grade. I get along well with kids. I am starting to slow down some now however. I plan on teaching one more year, then retiring and looking for something new to do.
I enjoy all kinds of different things. I love to read, write children's stories, shop, mess in the yard with my plants, hang with friends and family, spend time with the cats. I watch a few tv shows and enjoy going out for movies but rarely watch movies at home, although I've stocked up on a bunch of $5 movies from Wal-Mart!
I'm looking for a man with an off-beat sense of humor, someone who loves family, friends and animals. A person who wants to let me into every aspect of his life, as I would do with mine. It would be nice if he liked to cook. I can cook but mostly choose not to. It's not fun for one person.
