| My three sons are 19, 22 and 25. The 25 year old lives about 60 miles from here and the 22 year old is in training in the Air Force. My youngest is mentally handicapped and spends most of his time with his dad. Though each of them is totally different from any other, I am proud of all of their accomplishments. While the older two are pursuing life with their families, my youngest helps me keep everything in perspective and helps me remember that the simple things in life are often the best. My sons and their families are my greatest blessings and I talk to them nearly everyday. Having suddenly been thrust into the role of "grandmother", I have discovered how much fun it is to play. I am fortunate to have a good relationship with my daughters-in-law and enjoy spending time with them. As much as I enjoy being with them, I try to let them have their own space and enjoy mine. It's really nice to be able to schedule my own life after years of being the CEO of the house of boys! lol! |

| I've taught kindergarten and first grade for 22 years. I enjoy teaching and love the kids. Sometimes it is a little overwheming (ok, a LOT overwhelming), but I have learned to have a separate life outside of school and that helps tremendously. I take my job very seriously and put a lot into it. (No, I don't go to school from 8-3 and then go home with nothing to do! lol) I love what I do, but it is only a part of who I am. I do enjoy the company of adults...yes sometimes I actually crave the company of adults!!! |
