I know where I came from and where I'm going. By that I mean I have goals and aspirations, and I've definitely learned from my mistakes. I cannot, and will not, dwell on the past.
I tend to be shy until to get to know someone. I believe in fate and karma. What comes around goes around, therefore I try to treat others with respect and dignity. I'm not what you'd call overly-religious, but I DO believe. Just not in "organized religion". I believe it's not where you worship, but how.
I'm comfortable in a tux, suit, or a pair of jeans. But most importantly, I'm comfortable in my own skin. I firmly believe that if you don't love yourself you cannot love another. I tend to have a wild side at times. I've just learned when it's appropriate, and when it's not. I have a few tattoos, so if they turn you off, I'm not your guy. I value honesty above all other traits, even if it means being brutally honest, but not at the expense of others.
I like to surround myself with people who are quick to laugh and slow to judge. People who are quick to help others and slow to find fault. People that just enjoy the simple things in life.
My family, friends, and girls are an integral part of my life. I have 2 lovely, young ladies that have taught me more life lessons than I could ever teach them. I have family and friends that have always been there despite my downfalls. For this, I'm eternally grateful.
I'm told I have a VERY warped sense of humor. My kids say I'm just an over-sized geek. Don't know what they mean by that, but it MUST mean they love their dear old, dad, right? I love to laugh, even at my own expense. Problem is I find myself doing it far too often (Should that be a problem?)

Sometimes I'd like to place an ad in the paper that reads:

Depends on the person. I'm open to anything--not too hard to please, as long as it has good conversation and laughs; it could be a nice, quiet, candle-lit dinner or a day at Cedar Point.

I'd like to meet a woman I can laugh with and at. Someone that loves to be plain silly at times just because it's fun. A woman who knows the difference between fun and irresponsibilty, but isn't afraid of spontaneity or communication.
I'd love to meet a woman who is tired of the nighly bar scene, but still thrives to have fun in other ways. A woman who knows where she's been and where she's going. Someone who treats the elderly with care, won't cancel Christmas because of tangled lights, is thankful to view ANY day, and won't sue the airline for losing her luggage(well, unless of course we're together and I get a piece of the pie :) ) A woman who evaluates her life from time to time and makes changes as she grows. Someone who enjoys having their own space as much as they love close, intimate, encounters with me. A woman who's beautiful to herself, but doesn't push it to the point that it loses its magnetism. Most of all, a woman who knows it's easy to fall in love, but it takes hard work, communication, dedication, and commitment to stay together.
I am NOT looking for someone to make me happy...I'm the only one who can do that. What I am looking for is someone who's happy where they are in life and only wish to have someone to share life's roller coaster ride.
