| NO LONGER LOOKING. I am looking for my best friend and lifelong partner. I am an active, fun, creative, friendly, tender, loving, passionate, patient, caring, intelligent, giving person and a good healthy mix between old-fashioned and modern. I enjoy glowing candlelight or a cozy bonfire on a chilly, starry night. I love sunsets, rumbling thunder and gentle rain falling on my tent, especially the one with that little skylight. A couple of years ago I wrote and published a cookbook in which most of the recipes are my own creations. I love to cook, but without anyone to cook for I find that I seldom cook any more. So I seem to now fill that time up with my love of science as I 'cook up' my skin creams, soaps and other concoctions for my little shop. One thing I actually occasionally enjoy doing with a partner is working along side each other all day such as on a home improvement project or just out in the yard, work hard all day, sweat hard, get good and dirty, get all nice and cleaned up, then kick back with a sense of accomplishment as we cuddle up and watch a movie or something. I have six children. 3 are mine by birth, 3 are mine by adoption, but ALL are my kids. My children are now grown and all out on their own. My kids come in a wide range of personalities, each unique in their own way. I love them all. My youngest son is Autistic (specifically - Asperger's Syndrome, along with many other disorders from abuse in his bio home.) I am happy to say that currently, he is doing excellent in his group home.
I also have five wonderful grandchildren along with 4 others that call me grandma. They are so fun to spoil and then send back home. |

| I own and operate a small, hand-crafted candle and gift shop. I make at least 90% of my products and lately have gotten started also making catfish bait. I also do occasional, part-time management consulting type work. I have spent a large part of my life rescuing abandoned/abused/injured critters but have slowed way down. I say I am going to completely quit, but I am hopeless. I also have a very small farm of the basic farm critters. I am working towards creating a self-sustaining place to live, as much as possible, anyway. It is hard work, but I am really having fun with it. |

I enjoy a variety of activities but, although some of them may be costly on a rare occasion, a great date doesn't always need to cost anything at all. One of my favorite dates was when, on the spur of the moment, we went out to the lake, built a small fire and roasted some hot dogs, then went for a long walk along the bank, talking and getting to know each other.
A first date also depends on how well I know someone or if I have just met them. If I have just met them then a quiet corner in a simple restaurant for a coffee or coke or a meal and a long conversation would be great. |

| I want someone who is fun, loving, caring, affectionate, passionate, patient and thoroughly enjoys the outdoors. Enjoying assisting me in my project of building a self-sustaining property would be a huge plus! Although it would be nice if he danced, too, it isn't necessary as long as he doesn't expect me to quit dancing (square, line dancing, etc.) Maybe he could enjoy something just he likes while I am at a line dance class. He needs to like kids and critters at least a little bit. I want a man that is comfortable with himself, can take care of himself, doesn't "need" someone to be complete, but would really enjoy sharing his life with someone, side-by-side, occasionally leaning on each other when needed, but mostly enhancing each other. I want a man that can enjoy spending couple time, some separate individual time, as well as family time. He needs to be able to genuinely enjoy a little cuddling now and then. I want a partner that is my best friend in the whole world and can love every single side of me, just as I am. |
