I am an active, fun, creative, friendly, tender, loving, passionate, patient, caring, intelligent, giving person and a good healthy mix between old-fashioned and modern. I am comfortable dressing up or just putting on jeans. I have a cheerful, fun, happy side and also a serious side. I am a cuddler and a hopeless romantic that enjoys "just because" hugs and kisses. My favorite activity is dancing of all kinds with four of my favorites being waltz, two-step (country, Texas, or Ballroom two-step), line and square dancing. And of course, I always enjoy a good polka! When I can find a new location I will teach line dancing again. I enjoy a variety of music. I have never been to a bar but might try it once (Edit - I have now been talked into going once. It was okay, a little boring, and I am in NO hurry to go back.) I enjoy nature and outdoor activities, like camping, fishing, long casual walks, gardening and cooking in my smoker. I like to occasionally spoil my guy with little, unexpected surprises. I enjoy glowing candlelight or a cozy bonfire on a chilly, starry night. I love sunsets, rumbling thunder and gentle rain falling on my tent. A couple of years ago I wrote and published a cookbook in which most of the recipes are my own creations. I love to cook, but without anyone to cook for I find that I seldom cook any more. So I seem to now fill that time up with my love of science as I 'cook up' my skin creams, soaps and other concoctions for my little shop.
I live in the country and although I originally grew up in the city, I could not imagine ever moving back to city life. I love working with animals and currently have quite a menagerie of them. I keep trying to lower my number of them and keep saying I am not taking in any more, but somehow they keep finding their way into my yard.

I have six children. Three are mine by birth, three are mine by adoption, but ALL are my kids. My children are now grown and all out on their own. My kids come in a wide range of personalities, each unique in their own way. I love them all. My youngest son is Autistic (specifically - Asperger's Syndrome, along with many other disorders from abuse in his bio home.) I am happy to say that currently, he is doing excellent in his group home.
I also have four wonderful grandchildren along with 4 others that call me grandma. They are so fun to spoil and then send back home. |

| I own and operate a small candle shop. I make all of my candles and many of my other items (sachets, sprays, skin creams, soaps, etc). I also do part-time management cousulting type work. I have spent a large part of my life rescuing abandoned/abused/injured critters but have slowed way down. I say I am going to completely quite, but I am hopeless. I raise and sell goats, but am trying to decide if I want to continue or slowly phase them out. Feed has gotten astronomically high! But I love working with them. |

| I enjoy a variety of activities but, although some of them may be costly on a rare occasion, a great date doesn't always need to cost anything at all. One of my favorite dates was when, on the spur of the moment, we went out to the lake, built a small fire and roasted some hot dogs, then went for a long walk along the bank, talking and getting to know each other. |

| I want someone who is fun, loving, caring, affectionate, passionate, and patient and thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and dancing. He needs to like kids and critters at least a little bit. He needs to have a good, clear understanding that the best relationship comes when each person can firmly stand on his/her own feet and then the two of them can walk along side-by-side, occasionally leaning on each other when needed, but mostly enhancing each other. I want a man that can enjoy spending couple time, some separate, individual time, as well as family time. He needs to understand that although both people are different in many ways and each has his/her own strengths and weaknesses, each person is an equal partner in the relationship, both on the same level, each giving without expecting in return. He needs to enjoy at least some cuddling and treat me with tender, loving care and respect. He also needs to be understanding of the ENORMOUS amount of time that setting up a new business takes. Right now, my business takes up so much of my time that I am not really looking for anyone because I don't feel I have the proper amount of time to give to anyone. If someone comes along and sweeps me off my feet, I certainly won't complain or fight it; I would gladly welcome it. But, until then, I am just on here to enjoy blogging/writing, talking to everyone, and making friends during my little windows of free time. |
