Australia was started back in the 1800s by an aboriginal named Christopher Columbus. What happened was, Columbus was visiting a place called England but he found the people there to be a bunch of “toffy poufs” (his term). The only people he could hang out with were a large class of ruffians known as “The Bad News Bears.” These were heavy drinkers and bank robbers and drunk guys with colorful names like “Crazy Eddy” and “Mickey Pistol.” Columbus learned English from them and had a good stay there. It was the last of many islands he was exploring on his “Discovering the World Tour” of 1795-1800. Anyway, the day he had to leave all the President’s men and the Queen were like, “Oh we didn’t get to see that much of you but you seem like a cool guy and you have an amazing tan so we’d like to come to Australia some time and do trading with you—” and Columbus interrupted them with, “No offense but no. The only people I’d like to have as guests would be The Bad News Bears guys. Sorry.”
