I am a sign and mural artist and freelance writer. I occasionally also design and sell custom car tags.
I have five kids, all of which are grown and have lives of their own. I receive occasional visits from my two granddaughters and each of my kids. I try to keep in touch with most of them by phone when my schedule allows. I am currently working in Ft Smith building a restaurant there
I live on top of a Missouri Ozark mountain with an awesome view. My house and furnishings are rustic western and include some log furniture which I have either made or bartered for. I enjoy bowling, shooting pool, table games such as Scrabble, Probe, Boggle, UpWords, boating, and most outdoor activities, including gardening, working on my house(s), camping, fishing and/or exploring.
I put pen to poetry when the inspiration hits me and have a large (non-commercial) web site filled with it, (I am adding some of it to my blogs here) I accept poetry for publication at the site, if I like it and it fits the general guidelines of the site. | All of my kids are grown and have lives of their own. I stay in touch with each of them fairly constantly. Being the best dad I can be is important to me. I am not a dead beat dad. I am pleased to be a part of my kid's lives. If I met someone with kids still at home I would treat them as my own. If I felt I could not do that, I would probably not get much further into that relationship |

| I enjoy the creative aspects of my work, whether making log furniture, writing poetry or painting signs, each day is a new and unique experience. Lately much of my work has involved carpentry or foundation work while building my new house. I find digging footings beneath the house I "moved in" to be a relaxing excercise while providing great physical and emotional therapy. On second thought I might rather be rowing my boat across a lake somewhere! |

| There is no such thing as a great date. They are just too sweet and sticky! I prefer raisins but they get stuck in your teeth, too. Dentists do not recommend raisins for that reason. (lol) Well if you mean the kind of "date" when boy meets girl for fun then I would answer differently. Chats and telephone calls seem almost like dates at first. Perhaps a first date should be to meet, so a coffee house or casual setting may seem safest and best. That date could be extended if the chemistry was right to anything we wanted to do to get to know each other better. I always enjoy outdoor places best, but clubs and nice restaurants are fun too as long as they are quiet enough that two people can still enjoy communication. Sitting near the water watching the reflections or even watching the stars from a boat, beach or a mountaintop can be a romantic event. Include a little music and slow dancing and the feelings can truly soar |
