An idea was passed along to me about having a "private blog section" similar to a "private photo section".....gold members only have access to the latter. It really would be nice to control our blogs and either make them public/private.....to share with our friends and favorites.....or publicly based on our discretion.

Another blog question.....with some of your recent changes...you are aligning with other blog sites. That is great. Have you considered removing pics from the blog section? Other blog sites I go to do not have pics next to the blogs. It would be advantageous for both blogger and reader: I'd rather have someone read my blog for the content....than the the pic next to it. It would reduce a lot of nonsense blogs seeking affirmation from a few. It is more streamlined and contemporary.

Private blogs are a good idea and will go on our list.  We will take the no images for blogs into consideration when we get to our next round design revision.

I think pics sometimes add to a blog.
But everyone that posts gifs should learn how to make them the appropriate size. It's very quick and easy using Photobucket. And pics that are too big should be deleted.

bandtmom...>I meant our actual pics...profile pics...that are next to the blog...not the graphics....I  the graphics. Other blog sites I visit do not have them...and for me personally it is much better....they are little more than a distraction to me.....and I'd rather read a blog for what is inside than look at the pic....not that I do that anyways...but the temptation is there. I think making the blogs look more streamlined add to its appeal. But I'm a serious reader and enjoy words and stories. JMO
