I am finding that there are just too many excellent blogs posted in a 24-hour period that are kudo-worthy. 5 kudos is definitely not enough. Could we AT LEAST have 10 kudos? You know...5 more to take place of those negative kudos?

Sounds like a good idea.  Although I have only posted one Kudo, I usually send a short mail message to express my appreciation of a blog that just hits a "personal home" for me.

Actually I think that increasing the number of Kudo's each member has to give out each day would only decrease the significance of the Kudo. AS it is now each person has only 5 and should carefully consider which Blogs they want to honor with one. If they increase it to 10 it will not be long till someone will want 20 and then 30 and on and on. By leaving it at 5 it really makes the Kudo's more important and people just need to weigh heavily who they give them out to. JMHO.

I agree with graywolf. To allow more kudos would decrease their significance.
Certainly I read many good blogs here but even if I personally don't find them worthy of a precious kudo, their writer is told of my appreciation of their efforts through my comments.
Both limited kudos and (positive) comments have a place, and I personally would like to see them left as is.
Though limiting blog comments to one per blog per day remains a good idea, IMNSHO.

To me, it does not matter if a blog I write gets kudos or doesn't. I rarely even look. I write for me, or to entertain others... the kudos, really make no difference to me.
I give them out when I feel I want too, but again, it's mostly because they're there, so why not use 'em.
JMO 
Edited to add... doesn't mean I don't appreciate the site giving them to us.

OK...say I read 20 blogs. Then I don't give any kudos because I don't know if the next blog will be better. Now I still have my kudos, but I forgot what the excellent blogs were that I was going to go back to. Give the old folks a break here!

You can earn more Kudos by doing stuff on the site, I think. I've gotten more kudos than 5 in a day before. There have been times I've been out and one magically appears

I think each kudo you give out is replaced 24 hours later, so they don't all replenish at once. Just a thought...
