I hate it when a thread gets locked while I'm typing a comment on it. Is there any way you could let a guy know before he types a 5 minute ramble?
Seriously mods, I had more than a little to do with one of them being locked. My apologies. I'm off to sit in the corner with my dunce cap on.

I've been trying to restrain myself. One of the participants seems to be having a little difficulty making himself understood (as in, he's writing sentences that seem to be missing two or three rather vital words), plus he's become even more abusive than usual. (Life situation problem, at a guess...)
If he's causing threads to be locked up, I don't want there to be any doubt that I acted with restraint and civility, not responding to the contempt and abuse leveled against me.

there's such a thing as a regular mod choosing not to read any more of the usual insults and garbage wondering if or when things will get worse without constant babysitting.
maybe threads will be cleaned up and reopened after everyone's gone to bed. maybe not.

Call me crazy, but heres my logic.
If you are in the process of typing a 5 minute ramble in a thread that is about to be locked.......chances are, you ARE the problem.......or at least part of it.
No warning is in order. Just type faster.

Yep, and it looks like the same people are involved in each one.

I wonder if I was the problem with the other six threads that got locked while I was out doing the whole having a life thing? I must be damn good to get three threads locked from an outdoor bonfire.

maybe threads will be cleaned up and reopened after everyone's gone to bed. maybe not. See you should all behave and go to bed when you are told.
