I still don't know why so many people clear cache, cookies, history, work folders, etc. on their personal (non-public) computers. Unless there is a problem (such as this one), I can see no reason to do so.
Capo, I got in the habit of cleaning my cache back in the days when I used to chat regularly on this site. Inevitably, chat would load much faster when it was cleaned.
And hey, KATT!  It didn't make any sense to me, either!

It is, as Katt suggested, a bug. 
However, Micro$oft often calls these anomalies "undocumented features"!!! 
Thanks for the information, missliss. Normally, having the information in cache speeds up internet processing because pages don't have to downloaded additional times. I can understand why that would be useless for extended chat sessions.

I got curious, so I went out to that link to see what it said, and got lost somewhere in the second box... it's a bug, someone swat it please!  In the meantime, I will just use Firefox!

The link is to a programming (script) error message that IE can not complete the operation and the operation is aborted. In simple language it is the HTML script location error. It is placed inside the parent script as a child script command. The child commands is not complied therefore the operation to do what ever the script is trying to accomplish is aborted. (example: you lock your storm door and your entry door, you can not unlock the entry door until the screen door is open therefore the entry door is the child to the storm door which is the parent ).
If this is the problem some where having there is nothing you did or you can do to fix the problem, it has to be done by the website (programmer) not the user of the site.

As I read it, Nah, the workaround would have to be performed by the web site while the problem remains in Micro$oft's browser.

I sure wish I could get Firefox to work for me. It never loads all the pictures and buttons. I get LOTS of red Xs.
Oh, and Myst, have you noticed the trollish behaviour Options is exhibiting? Please do NOT feed the troll. Don't reward bad behaviour.

A couple of minutes ago I couldn't log on to MD, kept getting "error page". So I closed it down, wrote an email to a friend, came back, and now it's working just fine.
