If you decline some ones friends request, do they get a notice that you declined?

Evidently not because I have the same 3 or 4 ask me all the time after I decline them.

Right now they are sitting in the little box up there^^^ in the waiting room.

Thanks Kat for your reply..it was just a curiosity question. I usually just hit "decline" and forget who asked me....

happygrlok....Based on some discussion we had recently, some of us think if you leave a friends request in your box (do not accept or decline) it will prevent a person from repeatedly making a request. Thought I would share this with you just in case you have had to deal with this sort of issue.

No, they dont get a notice if you decline,, but if you have not joined there friends list after a few days most people get the point

If you leave a someones friends request in your box (and do not accept or decline it) it does prevent the same person from requesting again as long as you leave it there

Hope that helps

Thank you every one for your help...There is one that just does not seem to get it. He has sent me so many requests that this time I have left his request alone and hope it does stop him for sending me any more.

happygrlok...Isn't it crazy? Apparently some of these people just go through the profiles online or something & send out friends requests just for the heck of it to see how many they accumulate. They send out so many, they have no way of remembering who they've sent them to before, hence, the reason we were getting requests from some of the same people over & over again!
I'm glad we figured out the "trick" to stop them!

miss I agree.........I am glad everyone told me what to do.. a lot of the requests are from people that I have never talked to, or even want to talk to for various reasons. I guess we can say they are persistent and don't seem to get the hint.

kat...I would call them "collectors"....do they think it makes them look like they are popular? I don't want to have people on my list that I don't talk to. I talk to many different people and they are not on my list. To me the list is not that important. My friends know who they are. I am sure it is the same with every one else here.

...I dont send friends requests out......I dont know how for starters.....but even if I did.....am reluctant to do it. If people send them out to me.......I think its great.....then I know they want to stay in contact.......and if I send them out.......I feel that people may not want it.......and I dont to respect their privacy. I feel its a bit like real life. If people want to maintain contact they will........and if they dont want to then they dont send requests out. I dont send them out because I dont like invading other peoples privacy. However.......if they send me one...I would like to send one out to them also......but dont know how to. That is the ONLY reason. I am quite dumb when it comes to some things on here....LOL
