While I may not agree, I certainly understand the motivations behind the "one comment only" policy on the blogs; however that policy does not address the issue of what someone once labeled "blog cowardice," the posting of threads as blogs in order to control the response.

This practice continues unabated. Here is an example CLICK HERE. There is nothing complete about this "blog." It is an invitation to respond, and therefore does not meet the site's blog criteria. There are others. Indeed one poster routinely posts the exact language as a blog and as a thread.

When will this issue be addressed?

I will add... reporting it marks it spam or inappropriate.... they should allow us to explain why.

The other day, someone clipped the contents of a Wiki article... it was 100% copied.

I didn't report it...

good point chatillion and I agree 100%, it would be nice if we could add some verbage as to why we think it is inappropriate.

The MOD figured it was copied and put quotation marks on it - hope they informed the poor ol guy so he knows better next time.

You could always use the REPORT ABUSE HERE thread. Post the link and the reason why you feel it's abuse.

I didn't flag it as abuse, because I wanted a policy clarification first.

Blog Rules

4. You may not post any copyrighted material, unless you are the copyright holder.

It appears the Moderators have recently allowed modification to this rule by allowing copyrighted material if you quote it, post a link or give credit to the copyright holder.

Well, you're not committing plaguerism if you attribute the quotes, which is the purpose of the "rule."

I like the idea of one comment per person per blog...I'd like it better if it applied to the blog writer too...

I don't see the need to limit the owner of the blog from interacting with "the one comment" from each person..

Agreed... and to add supplemental comments that may come from e-mail, simply because of the one comment limit.

Certainly, if someone makes a comment to my blog and we have continued discussion, I would post their additional comments into my blog.

Sometimes the best points never make it to the comments.

Many good blogs die off too quickly simply because 20 or so 'fluffy' blogs per day cover them up.
