Moderators/mdTechs, can you give us advance notice when you decide to make your next mail purge?
Last time, we had about 2 days... I lost 2,000 e-mails. Obviously, I didn't want to save that many, but I needed more time to forward them to my e-mail.
Every week, I try to sift through my old mail and delete some so my box isn't as full as before.
Next time, I'll probably create a new mailbox just for forwarding MD mail.
That brings up a technical question I asked before and didn't get a reply... When we forward mail, it's only that message. If that was a reply, our previous message (shown in gray) doesn't pass to our e-mail.... this means we must forward 'sent' e-mails as well as 'received' e-mails if there is to be any consistency. Is it possible to include the other part of the mail when forwarding?

i'm going to pass this on directly to one of our techs. it would make the mods jobs easier, too, when we need to forward, sort, and save emails from 'problem children'.  (one way is to create separate folders for each person in your off-site mail, but it's a pain)

FM... what a GREAT IDEA !!
If we (gold members) could have an MD savebox that's unaffected by the mail purge, we can move 'important' e-mail to our savebox. That's better than sifting through hundreds of messages to find something important.
While we are at it... 
Would it be too much to ask for the ability to add a flag to messages? It does nothing other than a reminder. Just a simple indicator we can click on or off as needed.

Dear Mr. Mod,
I no longer need you to take the trash out. I called a service and they came and took care of it.
It was horrible, and I kinda miss all of those messages too.

That reminds me. I miss my son.  When I went to visit, I noticed he'd take out the trash without being asked  AND he'd put a new garbage bag in the bin! 
(I need him to reset my @#$%& digital clock that's going  behind my back here in my little office.  )

I just caught the mod opening my email and THEN....
He marked it unread.
That's IT!!!! No more dirty emails for them.
