I want to post a blog in sequence with another blogger, meaning, we want to post one blog, but use the comment section for the other 60,000+ words between us.
That isn't possible due to the one comment per blog rule and character limits on blogs.
We have considered posting it in the forums instead, but which one would be appropriate for a story and not a discussion?

Well, the story is a romance...maybe dating and romance?
The opening post could be one of you explaining the upcoming story and how you're going to write it?

why can't you use multiple blogs to serve the same purpose and leave the comments for others, you and the other person could compose the blog in word or something like that and the paste to MD.

Grey....it's a very long story...too long for a single blog. The first part was posted before, when comments on blogs weren't limited, and they went back and forth posting comments (which were, in fact, the story) It's an amazing piece of work and I've been waiting to hear the end for quite some time.

Multiple blogs would be a nightmare, there are far too many words for that Gray.
Even when comments weren't limited, we deleted other people's comments so that the story could be read without them.
I thought 'Dating & Romance' too.

As there has already been some objection to this posting in 'Dating and Romance' I have mailed the mod with the following.
Could you please advise as to us posting 'Stargazer and Rimmer' in the forums?
We tried to blog it between us, but it won't work, due to character count and comment restrictions.
Thank you, it would be much appreciated.

OMGosh I see what you mean, Missy! I guess it wasn't too well received by one certain person, huh?

If you rope off a section of the forums by creating a forum just for that purpose (such as changing the poetry forum to include this type of thing, or creating a new forum for it) so that it contains it to one area and prevents it from permeating every other interactive forum then it seems to me to be a good compromise solution.
That way the people who are interested in this kind of thing can have as much of it as they want, and the people who feel it interferes with the format of the interactive forums can be free of it.
It seems to me that that is the best solution. DiamondRain's suggestion. I agree, I wonder if MD would add it to the poetry section
Then we'll only have poets to contend with and you know what they're like.

Mods, could we please get an answer on this issue before DR bursts a blood vessel in his brain? Thanks.

I've just mailed Angel to see if she wants to continue.
I've had no reply from the mods and I can't see that we are breaking any rules whatsoever.
Thank you to everyone who commented or preached, even if they can't do it in the correct place according to the rules.
