A Letter to the Higher-ups

I am concerned and I'm sure I'm not the only one, at the lack of continued interest that was once prevalent in MatchDoctor. I am not referring to those who wonder around, take a peek and the quietly leave, but instead the lack of interest from you.

It seems to be a poor business strategy to make a website, invest a couple of years into it and then walk away. It does start to fray around the edges, making the product not quite as profitable. If the interest on your part is no longer there, then I suggest to either put the energy back in to make this place something which you can sell, or sell it now, give it to those who do care for it, the members.
I'm sure quite a few would be happy to take MD underwing and continue to keep it alive.

If I've spoken out of turn, please do forgive me. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!

~Mer

oh wow, when are people here going to quit complaining about the shoddy operation of this lame date site? don't all you peeps realize that to the "higher ups" your just a fricking number and they could care less about your bennies of belonging on this site, any more than what they are already providing? them taking away chat and other features gold members are paying for without any advance notice should have clued you in by now, and its a done deal.

Chubs, this wasn't to say that those who own/moderate this site suck, just that I have noticed not as much input. It was quite fun when certain members were able to get FM to chime in on some silly thing. That didn't happen all so often, but it did occur. Every night or other night, the Political threads were trimmed, R&S was put neatly back in place, and occasionally the mods would come out to just play. The thread that gets regular attention is the Abuse thread and when it becomes absolutely blatant that something has occurred elsewhere, that will get trimmed.

The thing is, it's not good business to just kinda let things go. I am not aware of a venture in which just add water works.

I, however already bid my two cents, Kenn and yep, I cut line. No, you may not cut in front of me!

Dont worry Merchitown, they have a plan those higher-up folks.
It amazes me how impartial they are to everyone regardless if they are paying members or cheapskates like myself.
The only thing I would write in a letter to MD would be only one word.
Thanks

i guess its one of those things that if you dont think you are getting your money's worth...than dont pay for a membership. if you are dissatisfied with your FREE membership than go elsewhere. I can understand with those who paid a membership to have things they have paid for taken away...but it seems kind of petty to me otherwise to complain about a free service you receive. Its like bitching about a free meal you received, but still ate. Just my two cents....

Awesomely put Prinny.

That's not quite right. the FM chimed in on their own when they choose to.
Not because of being puppet on a members string. And although its cool to hear from the "company", you really can't let the FM be that person. The cops there to help protect and serve, not pick and choose buddies. That why I would never be a Mod, that and the power oooooh the sweet power. You need a face or a spoke person, Think Tom of MySpace. Bring back Sushi Master.

Ok this is the second post I have read like this from Crete, and my only question is..
Was he a willing participant in this brain transplant?

Then wouldn't a free member[you] complaining about another free member complaining be even more petty?

again, please explain to me how saying something seems petty is complaining??? Perhaps I am not realizing what it really means to complain or its just one of those things that someone felt the need to nitpick
