I really like this site but it would be nice if it had chatroom or rooms
and it would be nice if this site had instant messenger so that two
people could chat privatly which could end in a great relationship.
This is a dating site, Its hard to find someone to date that you cant
even get to know except through mail.
Thats just my opinion and I mean no harm or sarcasm by it.

We used to have chat and IM it but....the site could no longer keep it  it's a dating site and it is more than that it is about many friendships...you will see

Actually Matchdoctor is dying of benign neglect. The management has decided that it can't, won't or simply can't afford keep up with the latest trends in dating or social networking.
Making MatchDoctor and Adult MatchDoctor basically Version 1.0 dating sites in a Facebook, MySpace, OkCupid Version 3.0 internet dating universe.
People are becoming more sophisticated in their expectations of dating and social networking sites. Just adding a sexy, flirty chat room doesn't hack it anymore, as Site like AdultFriendfinder and its affiliated sites have found out. Their sex and flirt chat rooms have lost two thirds of their active user numbers in the last three years.

But the thing to keep in mind is, most websites that toss in bells and whistles make you pay for them. Given the money that we're NOT paying for this website, any relationships we get out of it is just gravy.

I haven't seen much "dating" functionality in Facebook (aside from "friend of a friend of a friend"). And Myspace is kind of for the younger crowd (at least, anyone trying to date on Myspace when being over the age of 25 seems kind of skeevy...).
OK Cupid is pretty good, though.

Some of the forum threads have become
almost like a chatroom.
almost.
IM....I never did IM so I don't miss it.
I can barely keep up with my email.
Not because there's so much of it ...
Because I'm slow.
But then ... The OP hasn't been back...
So maybe the chatroom & IM things are important to him.

I rarely used either one of them too and in fact, had my IM shut off. I really didn't like the IM client here. If there was someone I wanted to chat with, I went to Yahoo.
I DO think you can get to know someone through mail and maybe if they trust you enough, they will share their IM or phone number.

I did like IM. I know there are other IM companies. Not sure how good other IM/chat companies are but apparently, userplane got too messed up for the price they charged.
