There may be some who want to do some 'quantum' leap frogging
Ok,,,there could be some classical threads too for the 'die hards'
How bout if we sign a pledge that we won't fight and fuss like those religious guys do 
Sorry,,,havn't been there for awhile,,,perhaps they've stopped,,,there I go making assumptions based on (possiblely) outdated data 
Anyway,,,where was I  ,,,,how about it,,,all the folks who know stuff can show off and the rest of us can learn about 'what the bleep we(don't) know'

For example...researchers believe they have found a link between Downs Syndrome and folic acid.
As in....eat a bowl of fortified cereal each morning (Heck...Apple Jack's is fortified) and the incidents of your baby contracting Downs Syndrome goes down dramatically. 
From what I understand, this must be done prior to pregnancy.

Research studies show that 60 % of mothers of D.S. children had ha genetic abnormality which inhibited the production of folic acid 
Ok,,,I googled that ,,,,
That's how it works folks  (for me anyway)

Oh well..I see we are making sure that we can't have a science forum now either.
Now people....you don't eat in the bathroom and you don't poop on the Thanksgiving turkey. Do you think you could keep your crucifixions of each other in the appropriate thread?

Maybe it would help if numerous threads from the General and Politics & Current Events Forums were moved to a Science Forum? The mods could offer members a specific period of time--say six weeks--to offer suggestions on which threads should be moved.
