hello everyone from way down the bottom of Australia in a place called Tasmania. 
I used to have a regular daily thread on another site called cybersouls/netrelate where my darlin wife and I met some wonderful,awesome friends but unfortunately the site is closing ,so I'm officially a homeless migrant now I guess.
if you have anything at all you'd like to add,a simple hello to something funny you heard somewhere,or just want to make some friends or hang out for a while,lets make this place rock as much as the last place that couldn't handle us ,ha,ha .

Tassie, I checked out the site and yep, it's legit that it seems to be closing  (I only checked to see if you were spamming, lol. Sorry  )
This is a little different format and not quite as loose and "chatty" as that one, but the friendships that have been made are a lot like the ones I was reading about when I browsed that site...and there are a lot of us who can empathize with your group being scattered to the 4 winds. (You're SO lucky that they at least gave you a notice and a timeframe...sounds like they cared about their community as PEOPLE, which is cool)
Welcome aboard MatchDoctor ...and yep, ya can tell your lost friends, too -- just the nice ones and not the pain in the butt ones, ok? 
(Did Dove steer you here? I saw that a lot of people there are from Florida  )
Oh yeh...

thanks sunbabe,there are a couple of CSMers already drifted here,and I know of a few more I was talking to today that are heading this way too.
the best part about this type of forum lay-out rather than straight real-time chatting is because so many differant ppl from there are scattered all around the world it was easy to catch up with friends in florida when I knocked off work ,which was usually as they were getting out of bed yesterday (floridians are 16 hours behind tasmanians.)
we also met friends we made on there from scotland,germany,and all over america.
we ended up one big happy family,but alas after the 15th it will be all over.it came as a bit of a shock,but at least they gave us a bit of warning to have a chance to look elsewhere.
some ppl on there mentioned matchdoctor,then a couple others did,so i thought time to check this place out.

i was advised that we may be expecting some new members. welcome, cs/nr (is it?)
if you have any questions about the site or any of its features, don't hesitate to ask. we have a help tab in the upper right side of every page as well as a help forum on the bottom of the forum page. also don't hesitate to ask anyone for help. there's a friendly group here (even if some of the threads don't sound like it, lol)
we don't have 'private rooms' (or whatever that was) but we have a blogging section for writers (although some try to use it as a message board or private forum  ) and we also offer free live chat (don't ask me what goes on in there, tho. not my territory)
if you want to share videos from u-tube, you can do that from your home page. and you can upload 15 photos to your profile page (the pages aren't customized, like on the other site. lol, too much bandwidth  )
and if you're comfortable using your given names rather than your screen names, it's ok. most of the people here prefer to stick to their sceen names or are given a nickname. it's a personal choice, tho.
some of our members have been with us since 2000 and many more have joined us more recently. we like to think of ourselves as a 'community', which sounds like where you came from.
(lol, we may have to have that guy get some signs in different languages now  )
btw, the first week or so you may find that your mailbox is inundated by mail from our nemeses: spammers. because it's an internationally accessed free site, they find their way in here, despite our barriers. many use us staes as their 'home'. if you recognize the typical 'spam' appeal, simply hit the 'report spam' button on the incoming mail. if you have doubts, just wait a day or two and enough people will have reported them and the profile's usually cancelled. we do our best to control them, but some always slip by, unfortunately. generally they try to lure you offsite to a yahoo-type mailbox. it's not necessary to go offsite because all email here is free (and safe). the same influx of phoney mail may hit as soon as new photos are uploaded, but hopefully you won't be overwhelmed.

we used to get spammers on cybersoul and netrelate,they're fairly easy to pick.
see I'm differant to them,instead of trying to lure your ppl away from your site,here's some friends I prepared earlier they're all cool ppl and we're all part of a rather mixed matched strange family,but all 'armless,ok maybe except spunky,she drinks ya know
man she's gonna kill me fo'that but she luvs me
even my darlin wife has showed up.
