Just thought I'd throw a "hello" out to the big wild world since I just arrived here.
I'm just getting back into the swing of dating (was divorced 2 years ago) and there seem to be a million sites out there...I guess the good news is that if you're only interested in left-handed Pacific Islanders who are fluent in Greek, there's probably a GreekSouthpawSamoanSingles.com site out there that caters just to you...but for us average joes, the bajillion sites are a bit daunting. I thought I'd find a forum where people talk about what works and what doesn't.
So, forum, what works and what doesn't? ;-)
I'm trying match.com and eHarmony at the moment, just to see what's out there. I'm skeptical about Internet dating but you know, it's the result that counts. A couple friends have said I'll be "swamped!" since I'm 38, professionally employed, want kids, and live near a big city (Portland, OR)...we will see! It's certainly a different world than the last time I looked, which was back in the 90s...back then it was about 90% men, for one thing.

Well hello!
As for what works? I think it is different for everyone. But I suggest that you spread yourself out in the forums and get to meet as many people as possible.
