Hello there, I read your profile and found it very amusing, especially the part about "Chuck"  .
Our 1-y.o. "Ody" (from Odysseus) is really NOT a cat, he's a little mischievous alien (either that or a monkey-weasel-rabbit-dog with "sissy" meows, as my 21 y.o. daughter insists on putting it  ). He loves to sit like a person and stare at us, sometimes reflectively touching his chin with his right paw, which, frankly freaks me out as that's when I could swear he's not an animal AT ALL. I want to get him a white collar a bow tie, monocle and top hat and photograph him like that, then at least I'd feel more at ease (I think...). He learned how to say "Mama" - I kid you not - because he knows I'll RUN to get him food when he does that. It took a while for me to convince my daughter until she (FINALLY!) heard it herself. Growing up we had two or 3 cats and I've seen many others since then but Ody is just "different". However, I believe he's not at all interested in politics and secret service intrigue though, but would rather ask "Chuck" if he fancies canned salmon and tuna or maybe chasing, torturing and then snacking on lizzards as much as he does, a reason (besides getting fleas and/or ticks) that I've banned him from going into the backyard.
Maybe I'd enjoy reading some of your poems as often some of the best stuff comes from tortured souls and, well, you're the "unloved poet"...
