Hi! I have never been to one of these events and this one is only about thirty to forty minutes away and on the up side, my daughter and son in law live in St. Augustine (although they live off 208 it might be closer than driving back and forth to Palatka!) Let us know a bit more about the location---address wise. Thanks!

Hey there! Glad you found your way here.
The 208 is not far from me. I would imagine you could be to my place in fifteen or twenty minutes.
Once things get into full swing, we start posting names of attendees, food lists, lists of other items we are bringing, who's staying where, etc. Some of the info is sent privately, via email boxes, for safety/security reasons.
Although it is still early yet, time does fly by. When you know for certain you are coming, just click on the "RSVP for event" button, in the Florida forum and then let me/us know here in this thread.
I think you will enjoy yourself. We have a close MD community here.

I have kept in touch with some of the midwesterners, and if we can ride-share, probably 5 people...
If I bring my truck, plenty of room for sleeping bags, pillows and duffel bags/suitcases!

Just wanted to let you all know that you will be right at the end of Speed Week at Daytona Beach and the Daytons 500 will be that weekend. If anyone is wanting hotel or motel reservations anywhere in that area you need to get them now if it is not already to late.
Did not mean to butt in but noticed the dates and knew that that entire area will be overrun with people for Race Week.

Classy.......I am at about a 50..50 decision here...ok?
I want to come and would probably drive down to Luv's from Ft Wayne and ride with Loreli....or...er...princess..... 
I have to make sure I have enough vacation days...I'm pretty sure I will...so I will definitely let ya know as we go...
I will like this get together and you know why? NO BEAR COONS!!

I used to live in Florida.....so I know all about the gators!
My father is retired in Florida and the last time I visited, my son went fishing and a gator locked onto his bobber.......we still have the teeth marks to prove it!

hopefully on the bobber not your son.  I'm only playing and there are lots of neat places in Florida, I used to live there also. The weather should be great then if you can just avoid all the crowds there will be during Race Week.

My father lives in Tavares...about an hour and a half North East of Sanford..
so many of those little lizzard thingys.......

yes the lizards are everywhere, hazard of a tropical climate. I lived in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach when I was down that way.

 My guess would be no.
HOWEVER, I am in the first planning stages of the Spring Camping Trip! Might wanna give that a thought or two. It will be in Indiana though.

She is in the moving part. Last I knew she was packing stuff and getting ready to go back to Florida. I know Classy,,,lol,,,she will take her time, and do it her way. She canceled so she could get it done i think. She will be back.
