The new season starts on August 31. I am so excited that I have declared that whole weekend holy. Even though I am against WVU, I think they have a pretty good chance at winning it all. Of course there is my favorites- Clemson and Notre Dame which are looking good. Play ball.
Anyone else have any predictions?

I posted this before:
Mark your calendars for September 16 --
Oklahoma/Oregon Notre Dame/Michigan Miami/Louisville Florida/Tennessee LSU/Auburn Nebraska/USC
Next to college basketball, college football is my favorite sport.
What's exciting about this season is that there's no clear front-runner right now, although I personally like Notre Dame.
We'll see.
(By the way, only 76 days till Midnight Madness! )

Not going to let my husband see this post,,,nope nada....Notre Dame huh?
Well, I am so happy that Ohio State whipped their butts last year, other wise I would have had to wear a Notre Dame t-shirt!!!!
That is his Alma Matre(sp) 4 years in the frozen tundra of South Bend is really not good for a L A boy!!!
Ok I am just teasing, Charlie Wise(sp) did a wonderful turn around for the Fighting Irish. I certainly hope they keep him.
The Michigan-Notre Dame game will be on at our house too!

NATIONAL TALK: This season's national championship game will be the Fiesta Bowl, the host bowl when Ohio State won in 2002 with a victory over Miami. That game, as well as last January's Fiesta Bowl win by the Buckeyes over Notre Dame, was played in aging Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.
This season's championship game will be played in the new home of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, and Tressel would like a first-hand look at the place.
"Well, the game is in Glendale this year, and we haven't been to Glendale," Tressel said. "We'd like to see Glendale."
Minnesota coach Glen Mason thinks that is not just idle August chatter.
"Let's face it, they could have been national champions last year," Mason said about the Buckeyes. "And they have outstanding offensive talent coming back

I'd say Oklahoma's chances of winning the national title just went down the drain.

Three greatest words in NCAA history:
War Damn Eagle!
That remind me...Orange is the most versatile color ever! 1. You can wear it on Saturdays watchin' UT football. 2. Then you can wear on Sundays huntinh deer in the Tennesse woods. 3. After that, you can wear in the rest of the week picking trash off the road!
I'm glad I'm not on ol' Rocky Top, bottom of the SEC. Ain't no victory from ol' Rocky Top, so I just turned off the damn Tee Vee. Once I had a girl from ol' Rocky Top, the parts she bared were fat! Once I had a girl from ol' Rocky Top, and I still have nightmares about that!

Rocky Top
Wish that I was on Ole Rocky Top, Down in the Tennessee Hills. Ain’t no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top, Ain’t no telephone bills.
Once there was a girl on Rocky Top, Half bear the other half cat. Wild as a mink, sweet as soda pop, I still dream about that.
(Chorus)
Rocky Top, you’ll always be Home sweet home to me. Good ole Rocky Top, Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee.
Once two strangers climbed on Rocky Top, Lookin’ for a moonshine still. Strangers ain’t come back from Rocky Top, Guess they never will.
Corn won’t grow at all on Rocky Top, Dirt’s too rocky by far. That’s why all the folks on Rocky Top Get their corn from a jar.
(Chorus)
Now I’ve had years of cramped up city life, Trapped like a duck in a pen. Now all I know is it’s a pity life, Can’t be simple again.
(Chorus)
Rocky Top Tennessee, Rocky Top Tennessee. Yeah Rocky Top Tennesee eee eee eee
Nobody better expect me to follow that with Go Vols, unless they're playing that university of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Three greatest words in NCAA history: Two greatest words in NCAA history...On Wisconsin
John Philip Sousa has called On Wisconsin, "the finest of college marching songs"
On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Plunge right through that line! Run the ball clear down the field, A touchdown sure this time. On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Fight on for her fame Fight! Fellows! - fight, fight, fight! We'll win this game.
On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Stand up, Badgers, sing! "Forward" is our driving spirit, Loyal voices ring. On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Raise her glowing flame Stand, Fellows, let us now Salute her name!
On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Grand old Badger state! We, thy loyal sons and daughters Hail thee good and great. On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin! Champion of the right. "Forward," our motto - God Will give thee might!

No, no....It's "On, On U of K"
On, on, U of K, we are right for the fight today, Hold that ball and hit that line; Ev'ry Wildcat star will shine; We'll fight, fight, fight, for the blue and white As we roll to that goal, Varsity, And we'll kick, pass and run, 'till the battle is won, And we'll bring home the victory.
You heard it here first...UK is going to a bowl game this year!
MJ - who still believes in Santa Claus, too.

Everybody likes to follow Wisconsin.
In all honesty with an untested new coach it looks like I'll just be listening to the games this fall from the tractor radio. We do have a fine expierienced veteran quarterback but a very young team.
