Ive got a question to ask. After watching tonights USC-Nebraska game there was a defensive pass interference flag thrown. 15 yards...big deal, but it was late in the game. That's a pittance to pay if you prevent a 50-yard touchdown pass by yanking down a receiver.
What do you think about the NCAA making it a spot foul like the NFL?

No, I like the difference in rules between college and pro. You cant get up and run again after falling down like you can in the pros......you only have to have one foot inbounds for a catch in college......there are lots of different rules.
I like it.

To me, there's a whole lot of difference between college football and Pro ball.....simply because the college football player is there and wants to play...it's in his blood......when you get into Pro ball, money seems to make a huge difference (SOMETIMES, not all the time) on how a player plays and what type year the team has......it's sad really, because there are alot of really great players out there that let the almighty dollar cloud the reason they got into the sport into first place...which was their love for it......
either way....I'm excited about college ball - the Gators beat Ole Miss by a few points yesterday....but....we got next week!

Thats true Gibson but what is also better is the fact that college players are still learning and still able to put team before themselves.

Yip, Penn State just laid another egg with a 27-20 loss to Illinois. Penn State should have beaten them and turnovers killed them again. I hope this won't turn into a long season. I thought those disasterous losing seasons of '00, '01, '03, and '04 where bad enough. Maybe the success of the '05 season was just a fluke and an aberration. I like Joe Paterno has seen better years and he's done a lot of great things for PSU, but I've felt that he should have retired a decade or so ago. College football isn't the same as it was 20 years ago and once lauded programs such as Penn State are becoming more irrelevant and jaded as time goes on. Penn State no longer has that completitive edge as it once did. It's time for change.
