Now with Saban jumping ship and going to Alabama, I wonder who the Dolphins will get. I don't know what my Fins need more..a good head coach or a good QB...probably both. Congrats to Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor for being 2 of 10 current stars voted by former players as NFL Alumni 2006 player of the year honorees.

We're glad to have him, provided he continues his predessors routine of choking against the Auburn Tigers!

yeah....BYE! He could have run for Governor in Louisiana and probably would have won. I like Les Miles. He is a good coach and has class.

Auburn beat him when he wore the Purple & Gold. It will be three times as much fun to beat him wearing the Crimson & White! War Eagle!

Saban can be good at Alabama. He is a great college coach. I think that if Spurrier had not admitted he wasn't an NFL coach and gone back to college (where he blonged and dominated) that Saban might not have taken the job. The real test will be if the Bammer alums and the BOT at UAT will let him do his job. Alabama has problems in the program right now and the alums and the board are it...You folks outside Alamama can't appreciate the situation. Your folks taught you not to discuss religion and politics...In Alabama, there's another more serious topic. Orange and Blue...or...Crimson and White...life or death...yes, it is that serious...

I have heard many stories of divorces, domestic violence, and all kinds of stuff as it relates to family members wearing different colors during the Iron Bowl....or hell, anytime during the season....or offseason....well...anytime
I've heard that control is not easily given up by Jr. Saban is a control freak. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
As long as it doesn't hurt my Tigas, I will definitely root for Auburn over Alabama.
I can't wait til' next season. Too bad we have to wait til' '08 for the Saban return to Tiger Stadium....I can just hear it now. I guess in '07 we'll have to handle our business in Tuscaloosa.

I am assuming that he will definitely go, although I don't think it's final yet. I do wish he would come back, but if he goes, I will root for him. If the Raiders do the smart thing (which is never a sure thing), they will pick him (poor Jamarcus) and I suppose I will have to root for the silver and black when they're not playing my Saints.
The Tigers are loaded. We have Matt Flynn, who won the Peach Bowl last year against Miami in dramatic fashion, and Ryan Perilloux behind him. Ryan was the #1 player in the nation out of high school two years ago from right here in Louisiana. I think the Tigers will be dominant in the SEC next year. It will be an adjustment though.
I don't know much about the new OC. I think he came from Oregon. It was sad to hear that Jimbo Fisher left for Florida State. At first I wondered why he would go there to be an OC. I think I know why. He will probably get into the Seminole system and look to take over for Bobby when he retires. I would assume Bobby is just waiting for ol' Joe Pat to retire first so that he can make sure he retires once he secures the win record against the old man.
Whew....you got me going there!
