I do like the commercial with Jimmie Jonhson and Elliot Sadler though...I thought Jeff Gordon was a first class jerk in his post race interview after the last race...almost like he expected his teammaye to lay down for him..."well, he blocked me really hard." "Yeah, I'm happy for Hendrick, but I'm mad because I thought we should have won this race." Johnson was all excited to race his teammate...his mentor hard and clean..and win...Gordon is a prima dona jerk!

I love the NASCAR commericals. I like the ones with Kasey Kahne and the women that are always trying to see him.

What does everyone think about the COT? I really do wish they would go back to racing production vehicles as in the beginning. Much more interesting to watch and winning was more about driver ability than horsepower and drafting.

That is what I was talking about, sorry if it was confusing. I meant the pre 1990 era when the cars were real and they had to produce at least 500 of them to be able to race them.
Edited for spelling

yes, those were the days when you could really enjoy racing and support your favorite car by driving one or at least going to the dealer and drooling over it.

Agree with you about the COT irish but I'm afraid they are here to stay. Other than a different piece of aluminum or whatever on the top all of these cars are the same. Not sure how the manufacturers will continue to support the teams with this new trend since they really have nothing invested in the cars not even the original design.
Let's go back to racing real production cars as it was in the beggining. There have been plenty of new developments over the years which can be incorporated to insure safety for the drivers. I would venture to say that if the drivers had a choice they would vote to go back to full bodied production cars. Then the skill of the driver had much to do with who won the race and to a certain extent so did the crew who built and supported the car but mostly the driver and his skill.
Now that was racing as I really enjoyed it.
