I got a good chuckle from the above headline on the Monday following yet another Oakland Raiders blunder! Anyone out there in cyberland have a clue to the ineptness of this storied and once proud franchise? Getting them back to their glory years is futile.....hell,we just need a win!

I love living here in Bungleland...a silly little team with even sillier uniforms...where who plays depends on who's out on work release that week!!!!
Good thing the Brownies are having a decent year.....

I'm surprised they aren't the ones who picked up Tank Johnson. He would have fit right in.

Anyone out there in cyberland have a clue to the ineptness of this storied and once proud franchise? It's quite simple, really: Al Davis needs to realize that he's past it-turn the GM duties over to someone that isn't living in the 70's, and concentrate on lobbying Alameda County for a new stadium.

Al's not about to turn control over to anyone. And because of that, Russell's career will be a short one. Can anyone say Tim Couch v.2?

Given Davis' penchant for being -well, Al Davis- why would anybody want to play there? I know a draftee wouldn't have much choice (without looking like a troublemaker), but why would any free agents sign with that team?

I'd just like to point out, the Raiders could have traded the 1st pick to Cleveland for Braylon Edwards and the 3rd pick, where they could then have drafted Quinn. They refused. I'm sure Quinn isn't complaining.

Yeah, a new stadium! The NFL is THE game in pro sports, and the fact is that multi-purpose -namely, baseball/football- venues have crappy sightlines for both sports...the Raiders are one of three teams left in the NFL that have such a setup; and if Oakland wants to keep that team, they're gonna have to do something, winning or not-or else Ol' Al is gonna be able to legally move the team out of town when they don't draw dick at the gate... Hey, maybe that's what he's trying to do! It's just like Rachel Phelps in "Major League!" Put a crappy enough team in year after year, nobody shows up-he gets to go back to L.A. and an assuredly brand new, state of the art football-only venue! How could I have missed it?
