The day his Indictment was handed down...he was unavailable for comment! Hunting somewhere! It would have been better if he had been unavailable for comment because he was being booked, finger printed and fitted for his "Orange Jumpsuit"!
He should also be stripped of those Baseball Records, as well! Henry "Hank" Aaron, Roger Maris and Babe Ruth are the ones deserving all the recognition!
My mind is a blank as I write this. There is another that played for the Cubs at the time the single season record was set. His, though there is no proof I know of, should be set aside also! He had "Roid" rage, too!!!

This is a great article about this travesty in baseball! Next month we have George Mitchell coming out with his investigation into baseballs steroid use! It is said many will be outed as users of steroids!
I would bet Sammy Sosa is named in the Mitchell Report!
Let's clean-up this game once again! It took Kennesaw "Mountain" Landis to clean crooks out in the 1919 "Blacksox" scandal. Wherein the Chicago White Sox gave the World Series to the Cincinnati Red Legs or Reds today!
I just love baseball and these players and owners are ruining it!

Heck,Bonds should be taken down...and taken down hard because of this whole mess! Lets put the game aside for a sec and just focus on the damage he has inflicted to tons of young athletes out there who hang on his every word and deed!
The hell with him cuz he doesn't amount to a hill of beans in my book ...never has.I don't care if he's the so-called home run king ...that title too is a sham!!!
He has been more of a thorn in the SF Giants side...anyone who misses batting practice because of a cell phone call ...enough said.
COME ON A- ROD!!!! get that bums name outta baseball!

Back in the early 70s. the guy who ran the gym I worked out at was Larry Pacifico and I knew him pretty well. Back then he was rated pound for pound the strongest man in the world. He held the world power lifting records in like 5 separate weight divisions. Steroids weren't illegal back then and Larry lived on Dynabol. Long story short, it almost killed him in the end, and if you're interested, you can Google him to get his whole story. I ran into him a few years back, and after the hellos, how ya beens, etc, I asked him if he had it to do again, knowing what he knows now, would he do it all the same way. His answer was simple....maybe!!!. He said being a naturally competitive person, the actual chance to be the best in the world at something became an unbelievably addictive obsession, and almost anyone in that position who could possibly achieve that with a shot, or a pill, would likely do so. Especially when everyone else was doing it too.
Not saying it makes it right.......but maybe until you've walked in those shoes and all that...........

The list is growing! Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte are involved in the steroids use! This according to the new report by former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell!

hmm...seems "REAL" athletes actually take steroids. whoda thunk? i thought only "phony wrestlers" took steroids.
where's the media backlash, and the worry that they might kill their wives and children because of the steroid abuse?

Since you don't really follow sports LGQ, I'm not surprised you haven't seen it. But there's been plenty of media backlash. But by now, it's flooded so much air time that people are just tired of hearing it.

No, I watch the news, and the media backlash is not of the same type.
There's no condemning the organisation itself for allowing the players to continue taking steroids. There's no blaming guys like Steinbrenner and making them out to be big sleazebags. There's no worry that the steroids will send the guys into "roid rages" and cause them to kill their wives and children.
I'm tired of it. Really, I am.

The media backlash is the only reason anything was finally done about it LGQ. But the reason no one was being blamed specifically is because there wasn't anything to pin on one specific owner or team.
The Mitchell report will change that at 2PM tomorrow. And just as a side note, the Yankees are expected to be named as big conspirators in the scandal.

It's still NOT the same treatment, and you cannot deny that, kjac.
The media hates professional wrestling and will never treat it as anything but a joke, meanwhile portraying "real" athletes as heroes and "real" sports (no one will ever convince me that men breaking their backs, tearing their muscles straight off their bones, damaging their brains by jumping and flipping of 20 foot structures and killing themselves by falling from the ceiling to entertain hundreds of thousands of people in a live audience is not a sport, choreographed or not) as the "greatest" American past time.
Everyone knows that the NBA, the MLB, and the NFL have the weakest steroid testing policy, yet for years they have gotten a pass from the media.
I guess the only thing we have to thank Benoit for is that he put the spotlight on the issue of steroids in the ENTIRE sporting industry.

Steroids isn't what made Benoit flip out. It was the mass amount of psychotropic drugs he was devouring like tic tacs.
Steroids are bad, no doubt. But they're not the cause of all the death and destruction in the world. That would be the Naked Brothers Band.
