Where is the ceiling in baseball?????????? Until baseball owners realize that they are running a business -not a shrine to the "good ole' days"- baseball will continue to screw itself...the NFL figured this out a long time ago, and they're now the biggest draw in the land. HARD salary caps, revenue sharing, tweaks to the game to make it more TV friendly: these are the keys to the NFL's success, and baseball would be well off to emulate them...but they won't. As long as the Steinbrenners (and their ilk) continue to believe that the success of their team -not of the league- is the only thing they have to be concerned with, the "ceiling" for salaries will continue to rise-and the "floor" of baseball's popularity and relevance will continue to drop.
