One I suspected that didn't receive much accusations was Eric Gagne. Being a longtime Dodger fan, when I noticed his velocity shoot up a few years ago I grew suspicious. And now he's got a 10 million dollar deal out of it.
I'm wondering if this will be enough to wipe away Barry's record?

NEW YORK (AP) - Seven MVPs and 31 All-Stars - one for every position - and that still wasn't the worst of it for the long-awaited Mitchell Report. That infamy belonged to Roger Clemens, the greatest pitcher of his era. The Steroids Era.
Seven-time Cy Young Award winner, eighth on the all-time list with 354 victories, an MVP and All-Star himself and once a lock for the Hall of Fame, Clemens now has another distinction: the biggest name linked by former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell to illegal use of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
In all, Thursday's 409-page report identified 85 names to differing degrees, but, while he vehemently denied it through his lawyer, Clemens was the symbol.
Oh I will still go to Baseball games! I love the game. Does it bother me that any of these guys took this drug? No. The only thing bad is it is illegal. If they want to take something to help them play better, than it is their body, not mine. They also hit and throw better. Just my opinion.

Hammerin Hank loses his record to a steroid user? Your darn right it bothers me. Take away there acheivements unearned, kick them out of the league and let the real boys play baseball the way it should be played.

Hammerin Hank loses his record to a steroid user? And Ruth loses it to Hammerin Hank, who was the benefit of say, better nutrition, better training, video analizing, better coaching at a younger age, etc...plus he took care of himself??.
I'd bet odds are better than 50/50 if steroids had been available in Hank's day, he, and a whole bunch of others, would have taken them too...
It's all relevant.....and it's all tied to what's going on at any given time...

Steroids are no excuse..but you still have to have hand,eye..to see the ball
Anyways..when the strike of the 90s..I stoped watching MLB..Sad
Anyone think they had to bring back the game? With all the home-runs? Just thinking
Ted Williams is spinning in his frozen state

I do believe the strike played a huge part in MLB allowing steroids. Whether or not it was needed is debateable, but there's no question the McGwire/Sosa homerun derby revitalized interest in baseball.
