The Green Bay Packers agreed to a two-year, $5.4 million deal with free-agent linebacker Brandon Chillar.
Oh, yeah, Ted will spend the $$ on linebackers-he was one in his playing days...but LB's ain't gonna protect Rodgers, or open holes for the running backs-speaking of which, any chance we'll sign a bona-fide fullback for next season? Teddy Boy better wake up; his wet dream of Favre being gone finally came true, now he's gonna have to put up or shut up.

I just heard they're retiring #4 at some point next season. Hopefully Rodgers won't be on crutches by then. Green Bay has a lot of holes to fill, because Brett won't be around to cover for them.

I'm listening to ESPN Radio's Sports Nation, and they're discussing a new rumor about Favre returning....

Really? Favres coming back!
I wonder if it has to do with his replacements quote yesterday...

From Sports Illustrated-
he’s surely going to tick off several Packers fans with a quote he gave to writer Chris Ballard.

“I don’t feel I need to sell myself to the fans,” Rodgers is quoted. “They need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut.”

If I remember correctly Capo, awhile back on another thread I mentioned that Favre will want to come back after Rodgers gets injured.
Maybe not physically.

They just had an interview with Al Harris a DB that just spoke with him recently. When the interviewer asked him what exactly Favre said he only replied...
Lets just say he has the itch to play again.

Being an old player he probaly wants to skip the pre-season workouts, like he has so far.He never did formally retire and if McCarthy wont take him back under his contract he can play for any other team.
I think McvCarthy should tell him that since he announced his retirement the team is going with Rodgers as the starting quarterback and if he wants to play again he'll have to do what every other player has to do.
Earn the starting position, not from his past performance but what he shows on the practice field...today.

McCarthy should tell him that since he announced his retirement , the team is going with Rodgers as the starting quarterback . if he wants to play again , he'll have to do what every other player does.Earn the starting position . I don't think brett knows what he wants . first " I retieing the end of this season " then he is not . then the next season . last fall he said I am retireing . the last game , cost $500 to see him play . will brett pay all those who came to see him win ? no . stay retired .
