I think teams have "salary caps" in the NFL.
Correct me if Im wrong.
If someone was dumb enough to do this in the NFL, then they would literally be playing with one man on the field.

And you don't see this happening in any other professional sport???? Definitely NOT in football; and I don't care too much what the rest of them are doing...the NBA's problem isn't with skyrocketing salaries and unbalanced payrolls, it's with skyrocketing violence and unbalanced player behavior...

I stand corrected by lj450. Salary caps do prevent this from happening elsewhere. That's the only reason it doesn't happen. The NFL does have the advantage, so to speak, of having to pay 53 players. The NBA has ridiculous salaries already. And, while I totally disagree with the salaries of some of these folks, let's remember, no one has to pay them, we watch them on TV, a large amount of a teams' income in any league comes from the national television package. And, they are entertainers. A lot of Hollywood stars are grossly overpaid too!
