Milwaukee news tonight said he asked Coach McCarthy if there were any coaching duties he could perfom this year.

Now he says he wont come back as # 2 in Green Bay. Just where is that competitive quarterback we had last year?

Perhaps he broke the chain that he was using to jerk the Green Bay Packer franchise around.

What did he expect Jankia? I have to agree with the team. He can sit and play second! You can't expect a coach or franchise to sit and pray he won't or doesn't mean it when he retires.
They moved on.

Looks like he broke the fan chain as well capo.We cheeseheads bowed down to this star quarterback for his game on the field but over the last three years his "will I retire or wont I" game has gotten way to old. He is thinking only about Brett Favre, which can be understandable but so is thinking about a new upcoming season for the entire team and its fans.

Yes, let him go.....just before the trading deadline, when his value is maximized.

I didn't see the Fox Sports interview with Brett when it occurred, but a story and the links to the videos (there are two which were run on consecutive nights) can be found here. Each video is 11 or 12 minutes long, and I found them quite interesting.
One quote from the interview struck a nerve with me:
Would he go into camp to compete for the starting job?
“Why?” Favre said. “That’s what I would ask them: Why?” He would never make it with coach Pete Carroll: everyone competes for their position every year and even during the season. That's what "Competition Tuesday" is all about.

I agree that they should trade him if they can get a good enough deal but don't agree that they should just release him to do what he wants. He need to put his bigboy pants on and grow up a little. IMHO

I did see the interview Capo and I was going to bring up the same distaste for his saying...why should he have to compete? Duh
It will be intersesting to see if he shows up in Green Bay over the next few days where he is scheduled to present former teammate Frank Winters at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame induction banquet at Lambeau Field.

Hey Metry...
Your Saints got Jeremy Shockey for a 2nd and a 5th round pick.....
You just might have gotten the best of that deal...

He wants out. He doesn't want to be traded or deal made with.

Brett Favre seems to be on a campaign to earn a Darwin award!!!
He used a Packer cell phone to make “repeated calls to coach Brad Childress and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell” of the Vikings.
The entire story can be read here.
I wonder who took the Wonderlic test for him....
